your questions, answered

where is the wedding being held?

villa bonomi at lake como, in italy.

when is the wedding weekend?

april 22nd-23rd, 2023.

why get married on april 23rd, 2023?

aris and amanda started dating on april 23rd, 2017! this would be their 6 year anniversary and it falls perfectly on a sunday.

why italy?

aside from our love for the pasta and people of italy, we also chose a destination wedding there because 1) aris is half italian and 2) the wedding venue costs are comparable if not cheaper than new york costs. with sky high prices in the city and high food and beverage minimums, we moved our search to europe. we hope you’ll come to our wedding and use it as an opportunity to live as the romans did.

can i bring a plus one?

we have a strict maximum guest count; as such, this depends. we generally reserve plus-one invites for people with long-term partners. please reach out to amanda or aris if you have any questions.

what should i wear?

we’d like you to look good and we’re sure you’d prefer to look good as well. color-wise, we have strong preferences. for the rehearsal dinner, we ask the ladies to wear blues or purples; the gents to wear gray. for the wedding day, we ask the ladies to wear pinks or greens; the gents to wear navy. we encourage gowns for the ladies and ties for the gentlemen. this information is also available on the home page as you scroll through the itinerary.

what will the weather be like?

here are some weather links we looked up and would refer you to: this, this, and this. if it’s too bothersome to click through, the jist is that the temperature will be around 11-16 degrees celsius (we won’t help you convert this to fahrenheit, but the third link above will). this means it’ll be a little chilly but pleasant. remember that villa bonomi is on lake como, and weather by the water is always a little cooler than inland.

should i get you guys something?

on the registry page, there are several places where you can peruse gifts.

i have more questions.

that’s not a question but sure, drop us a note here or via email if you’re into that.
